Originally from rural Minnesota, I spent my teen-age years in Los Angeles, and from there journeyed to Northern California where I attended the S.F. Art Institute and New College of California, Mill Valley Program, acquiring a BA at New College of CA under the tuteledge of the late great unsung heroe, Dr Francis  Choelo

in 1990 I moved to NYC, worked as a scenic and prop artist while painting and exhibiting. I  aquired an MFA at Queens College City University of NY., Flushing Queens, NY

In 2000, following my desire to see the stars again and know where my food came from, I bought land in North Mississippi, ½ hour from Oxford.  I set up and ran a retreat center and cattle operation, learning and utilizing, as much a possible sustainable means.of ranching/ animal husbandry and growing food .  I also painted, and photographed and worked on a documentary. ( to be finished)  For 10 years I divided my time between Mississippi and NYC. In Jan 2010 I gave up NYC to focus full time on my ranch and became a host for W.W.O.O.F. (World wide organization of organic farmers). I also taught art through the region, worked in film and curated a art shows of local rural artists.

In July of 2014 I sold my ranch and am urrently living in the SF Bay Area,   making art, exhibiting, writing, teaching art , growing food, keeping chickens and hiking with my dog   I am currently working on a series of stories about an artist from NYC who ends up cattle ranching in rural  Mississippi.
